Meet Dr. Adela Tesarek Kincaid

Dr. Kincaid has recently moved to the west Kootenays and holds a position of Faculty Researcher and Innovation at Selkirk College while also acting as Adjunct Professor and Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Regina.

Adela's current research interests include working with NGO's in rural areas and contributing to animal-based wellness programs that account for Indigenous relationships with animals. Recent projects that Adela has been a part of as a postdoctoral research fellow have focused on reconciliation by learning to work together with the more-than-human world and understanding wellness in the context of all our relations.
